Signing of UITM's cooperation agreement with Mobitouch and “Rector's Coffee with a Graduate”
The guest of the next meeting in the series “Rector’s Coffee with a Graduate” was Paweł Janda – a graduate of engineering studies in the field of Computer Science. For more than 12 years, Paweł Janda has held the position of CEO at Mobitouch, a company that specializes in creating dedicated software for companies around the world. The company develops innovative web and mobile applications, as well as advanced artificial intelligence solutions. This time the meeting went differently than usual. It began with the signing of a cooperation agreement between UITM and Mobitouch.
The agreement was signed by the Rector of the University of Information Technology and Management in Rzeszow, Dr. Andrzej Rozmus, Professor of UITM, and Jakub Janda – President of Mobitouch. Also present at the signing were Dr. Barbara Przywara, Vice Rector for Teaching, and Dr. Janusz Kolbusz, Vice Dean of the College of Applied Informatics.
”We are very pleased with the signed agreement, especially since the University has supported Mobitouch from the very beginning. After all, the start of the company’s activity was connected with its funding from the InnoFound fund – a project that UITM implemented in 2013. In addition, the founders were, after all, students of our University at the time. I am impressed by the momentum and development I am currently observing in the release of Mobitoch. It is a modern and very innovative company. I think both of our organizations will benefit from closer cooperation,” says Rector Dr. Andrzej Rozmus, Professor of UITM.
”We have formalized what has actually been going on for many years. Our employees have been giving practical classes to UITM students for a long time, and many of them are doing internships at our company, gaining valuable work experience. Now, thanks to the official cooperation, I look forward to an even more intensive development of this relationship and the implementation of many inspiring initiatives that will benefit both students and the industry as a whole,” says Pawel Janda, CEO of Mobitouch.
The cooperation includes exchange of experience, implementation of joint projects, organization of joint business and training events. As part of the strategic partnership, the company’s specialists are to participate in the review and updating of educational effects and study programs for the IT faculty. UITM students will have the opportunity to complete internships and apprenticeships at the company. The university and Mobitouch will also conduct joint promotional activities.
After the official part, it was time for coffee with Prof. Andrzej Rozmus, UITM Rector, and Vice-Rector for Teaching Dr. Barbara Przywara. Paweł Janda talked about the prospects and challenges in his industry, about combining business ambitions with innovative technologies, and about how he remembers studying at UITP.
With a solid foundation in business development, reinforced by a deep understanding of technology, I effectively support organizations – from industry giants to agile startups – in leveraging technology to achieve their unique goals. My team and I specialize in developing cutting-edge mobile and web applications, also offering integrated AI solutions tailored to each organization’s needs. I am driven by a strong belief in the need to shape the digital mindset. In today’s dynamic world, it is crucial not only to adapt but also bringing entire organizations into the era of digital transformation. This philosophy is not just about implementing new tools or solutions, but about truly embedding ‘digital-first’ thinking into every strategy. As a proud co-founder of the IT Employers’ Organization (SoDA), I am committed to raising the level of the IT services sector in Poland and giving it the representation it deserves in the global market,” said Paweł Janda.
“Our offer is aimed both at startups that are looking for flexible and scalable technologies, and at corporations and market-leading companies that want to optimize their business processes and implement modern technologies. The IT industry is currently facing many challenges due to dynamic technological changes and growing customer expectations. Never before has the pace of development been so intense, making the market more demanding, but at the same time opening the door to exciting opportunities. Companies have to adapt to new trends, such as artificial intelligence, automation or data security, which makes this period particularly interesting for innovators and entrepreneurs” the meeting guest added.
“Studying at UITM provided me with a solid technical foundation, which allowed me to grow in the IT industry and successfully implement ambitious projects. What’s more, the contacts established during that time proved to be extremely valuable – I met many inspiring people who later stayed with me as business partners, associates or key team members. Thanks to this, the studies were not only a period of learning, but also the first step to building a network of professional relationships that pay off to this day,” is how Paweł Janda recalls his studies at UITM.
Rector’s Coffee with an Alumni – are meetings between UITM alumni and Rector’s Authorities, aimed at maintaining ties, cooperation in many common areas, i.e. business lodges, student workshops, student internships, projects and business collaborations, as well as developing the activities of the Alumni Club.
