Joanna Brożyna - a guest of “Rector's Coffee with the Graduate”
At a meeting with UITM Rector Dr. Andrzej Rozmus, Professor of UITM, and Vice Rector for Teaching Dr. Barbara Przywara, Joanna Brożyna talked about the prospects in her industry – “Internet marketing, to this field we can include Google Business Profile positioning, is a thriving industry today. Everything is happening on the Internet. Given the development of artificial intelligence and technology, in my opinion, this demand will grow in the coming years, and companies will need specialists to help them create the right visibility on the Internet. It is worth noting that Internet marketing involves many specialties – from marketing specialists, computer graphics, analysts, to specialists in self-presentation or image creation. Certainly, there are many opportunities here now and in the near future that even need to be seized”.
The graduate has served as the department leader for Google Business Profile at KS Agency for more than 3 years. Her daily work includes positioning and managing company profiles on Google Maps.
“We make sure that the business cards of our clients’ companies look good on the Internet and are visible to users. My role is also to coordinate the work of the entire department, optimize processes and support my team members in their daily work. I also fulfill myself on a daily basis in marketing, taking an active part in the company’s activities. We are creating a community dedicated to local Top 1 businesses in Maps on Facebook and TikTok, where we help these companies with their marketing activities. I also willingly contribute to forums, including the Google forum. Above all, I do what I like, which is to help others, and on top of that I can let my imagination run wild and create something creative,” said the guest of ”Rector’s Coffee with a Graduate”.
A graduate of our university also talked about how her studies at UITM prepared her for her professional career. She is eager to share her knowledge on the Top 1 in Maps Facebook group, during webinars and industry events, and by publishing articles. Privately, she enjoys hiking, but those on smaller mountains, board games and good books – she then throws technology into the corner and takes joy in what surrounds her.
“I started studying Digital Communications already as an intern, with admittedly only a year’s experience. I decided to start studying because I was eager for knowledge, and well, I got it. My time at the University of Information Technology and Management based in Rzeszow made me realize that it is good to structure practical skills with theoretical knowledge. Above all, I acquired skills that fall under very diverse and broad areas – from communication and understanding the needs of the caller, to the basics of marketing, management and practical skills related to self-presentation, photography and multimedia. It was a very important time for me, which allowed me to understand the basics of what I do, and thanks to this I can now develop on many levels. I also remember my studies at UITM very well thanks to the people, really great lecturers, with a lot of knowledge, usually practical, full of modern solutions and specifics that can be used right away – and this is very valuable,” adds Joanna Brożyna.
Rector’s coffee with a graduate – these are meetings between UITM graduates and Rector’s Authorities, which are aimed at maintaining ties, cooperation in many common areas, i.e. business lodges, workshops for students, student internships, projects and business cooperation, as well as developing the activities of the Alumni Club.
