Rector's Coffee with a Graduate with Marcin Deręgowski
The guest of November’s “Rector’s Coffee with a Graduate” was Marcin Deręgowski, a graduate of IT studies at the University of Information Technology and Management in Rzeszów and postgraduate studies in business analytics. He has been involved in the IT industry for over 13 years. He currently serves as the first deputy mayor of Rzeszów.
During the meeting with the rector, Dr Andrzej Rozmus, professor at UITM, and the Vice-Rector for Teaching, Dr Barbara Przywara, Marcin Deręgowski recalled his time as a student at the University of Information Technology and Management in Rzeszów. “Why did I choose UITM? I was convinced by the educational offer and the opportunity to gain additional knowledge through courses that this university offered, and others did not,” said the Deputy Mayor of Rzeszów.
Marcin Deręgowski has always participated in various extra initiatives. It was no different during his studies at UITM. “During my studies, I led the European Student Forum AEGEE. For several years, I was also the head of my year and actively involved in the student council,” recalled the Deputy Mayor of Rzeszów.
„I later used this experience in my career in politics, because I worked for society’s benefit, beginning with youth organisations and leading to where I am today,” he added.
