Yujun Sun is a guest of “Rector’s Coffee with a Graduate”
Currently, Yujun Sun is gaining hands-on experience as a business analytics intern. As he said at the meeting with UITM Rector Dr. Andrzej Rozmus, Prof. of UITM, and UITM Vice Chancellor for Teaching Dr. Barbara Przywara: I am business analytics intern in the leisure services office at SkyTeam Alliance. It is second the biggest alliance in the world. My career started four years ago, during the pandemic, which was a particularly difficult time for the airline industry. I started as a business development specialist at DHL Supply Chain in China, where I worked for six months. Then I joined Air France KLM in China, where I worked for one and half year as business knowledge analyst – says Yujun Sun.
Yujum Sun educational road started from the bachelor’s degree in the specialty of General Aviation Management. It is worth noting that I was a member of the first group of students in this field. My residence in Rzeszów I remember very nice. UITM employees, who were responsible for the English-language tracks, were extremely helpful. I remember very well how I was warmly welcomed by them right after arriving from China. I felt at home in Rzeszow from the very beginning and had a favorable environment to focus on my studies – recalls Yujun Sun.
As the graduate adds, the University offered a diverse international academic environment with outstanding instructors – both from Germany and Poland. The combination of theoretical knowledge and practical projects in the curriculum has greatly improved my professional skills. Moreover, earning an UITP diploma, which is accredited by the European Union, has enabled me to further my education in EU countries. Currently Yujun Sun is in the midst of a master’s degree in Business Information Management at Erasmus University in Rotterdam. When asked for advice for students, he replied that it is worthwhile to apply oneself not only to study, but also to engage in extra-curricular activities. Today I would tell students: “study hard, have fun.” Maintaining a high grade point average is crucial for academic and career opportunities. It’s also a good idea to look for internships early on, which will help apply theoretical knowledge in practice and make it easier to choose a career path – Yujun Sun concludes.
