Karolina Majowicz-Czaszyńska is a guest of "Rector's Coffee with a Graduate"
Karolina Majowicz-Czaszyńska has been running her beauty salon with multi-directional care and beautification activities, ZEN MEDICAL SPA, for five years. As she said at the meeting with the Rector of UITM, Andrzej Rozmus, Ph.D., Assoc. Prof. and Vice-Rector of UITM for Teaching, Dr Barbara Przywara: ZEN MEDICAL SPA is a medical cosmetology and aesthetic medicine office. The salon’s offer includes, among others: chemical peeling – ANTIAGE therapy, discolorations, acne and post-inflammatory scars, aesthetic medicine treatments – among others. needle and microneedle mesotherapy, broadly understood treatments that stimulate tissues for natural reconstruction and regeneration – including tissue stimulators based on peptides, hyaluronic acid or amino acids, and my favourite autologous treatments – says Karolina Majowicz-czaszyńska.
Currently, she is a 5th-year medical student at the University of Rzeszów to expand the range of treatment offers – more medical ones. I would like to mainly deal with the treatment of complications after aesthetic medicine treatments. Unfortunately, there are many such complications, and patients are referred from doctor to doctor, adds the Graduate. Karolina Majowicz-Czaszyńska’s educational path began with a Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, specializing in General Cosmetology. My Bachelor’s thesis concerned the use of botulinum toxin, so that was the beginning of what I ultimately wanted to do. Karolina Majowicz-Czaszyńska obtained a Master’s degree in Cosmetology. My Master’s thesis concerned the use of platelet-rich plasma in the treatment mainly of scars, but also, for example, atopic dermatitis. I must admit that this is the area in which I feel best and in the future I would like to deal with regenerative medicine – explains Karolina Majowicz-Czaszyńska.
She adds: Studies at UITM gave me, above all, a very good substantive basis. When it comes to preparation for the profession of a cosmetologist, I believe that the education is at a very high level. Our profession is a practical one, so additional training is necessary, but studies at UITM provide the basics – we were able to learn, among others: not only how the skin functions, but also learn a lot about medicine itself. I believe this is particularly important. I also appreciate that during our studies we could learn how to open and manage our own office. I also remember the lecturers very well, including the late Dr. Ryszard Palczak. I would tell future university candidates not to waste their time – if they really like something and are interested in it, they should follow the flow and pursue their dream goal, summarizes Karolina Majowicz-Czaszyńska.
